New year! New you!
Sometimes it is difficult to observe the connection between wellness and physical activity. We know that moderate exercise can improve our quality of life in so many ways β energy, mood, and so forth (Flueckiger et al., 2016; Hogan et al., 2015). Β What about cognitive deficits? Β A meta-analysis examining the trajectory of cognitive declines identified 12 risk factors that, if modified, may prevent or delay up to 40% of brain-related concerns (Livingston et al., 2020). Β Risk factors correlate with less education, hearing loss, TBI, hypertension, alcohol use, obesity, smoking, depression, social isolation, physical inactivity, diabetes, and air pollution. Β
