Science Rendezvous, the annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), is back at ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ and UVic on May 11, 2024. This free event, hosted by ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ and UVic, promises a day filled with hands-on activities and opportunities to engage with leading researchers.
"Science Rendezvous offers families and individuals a fantastic chance to delve into the realms of STEM in a lively, interactive, and immersive setting," says Jennifer Giuliani, co-organizer of the event and Biology Instructor at Camosun. "We're excited to host Science Rendezvous at Camosun, showcasing an exceptional array of activities designed to engage our community and ignite the curiosity of future scientists, engineers, and mathematicians."
This year's event features new activities alongside returning favorites. Participants can tackle mechanical coding puzzles at Code Quest, play lab detectives in Journey into the World of Medical Marvels, and explore the senses in Biology: Explore the Senses.
"At Science Rendezvous, our aim is to transform passive learning into active exploration. Through hands-on activities, attendees not only absorb knowledge but also actively engage in the process of discovery. This fosters a culture of innovation, empowering individuals to think critically and creatively as they navigate the wonders of STEM."

To make it easier for families, most activities will be located at ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ's Interurban Campus, specifically at the Alex & Jo Campbell Centre for Health and Wellness (CHW). This central location ensures a smooth, convenient experience for all attendees.
With this year's theme as INNOVATE, Science Rendezvous invites attendees to discover, create memories, and innovate something new. Admission is free, and no registration is required.
